Diane Gow McDilda

A Little About Me

Diane McDilda, born Diane Gow, was raised on the west coast of Florida. She spent many days riding her bike back and forth to the beach in search of a pickup volleyball game or Frisbee partner. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of South Florida and a Masters of Engineering degree in environmental engineering from the University of Florida. But engineering did not suit her as she longed to be a writer. She juggled both, while raising a family, and her hard work paid off. Diane has put engineering behind her and now works full-time as a writer. She freelances for various magazines. She just finished her first book on green living which not coincidentally is called The Everything Green Living Book.  Her second book is out and is titled 365 Ways to Live Green.

Diane lives in central Florida with her family.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and kids.  There are always dance performances to watch and softball and basketball games to cheer at.  In her free time she squeezes in biking, kayaking, and hiking.
